Is the Battle of Moscow worth buying?

If you like game then why not? You have 1941 campaign and take part in operation typhoon. If you think every map will be completly diffrent... this is europe, most of maps we will get in ostfront will be simple fields with rare small towns. If we go into pacific maps will be exactly the same mostly. Bunch of water and some islands.

All expansions have similar planes, especially germans, all they had was bf109, fw190 as fighters so all you can get is just diffrent versions of it. Then you have bf110, ju88, he111, ju87. That's main machines of germans, hard to add something new that would make sense. Even Bodenplatte 1944-45 will give bf109K4/G14, Fw190A8/D9 and new one me262. So all but 1 will be new verions of existing ones. Nothing can be done about it, that's how germany did back then.

Allies get more machines tho.

Just want to ask one thing guys, I would like to start discover the new IL-2 series (already played long time 1946) but I can see on Steam that i'm forced to buy BOS if I want to play BOM right ? Cause if I buy it directly on the devs website I can choose the one i want without any need for BOS ?

Yes, it's a Steam store limitation. BOS acts as the base game, the rest is DLC.

You can circumvent that by going on the website, right?

You can always give BoS a try, unless you really want the Moscow campaign and the planes that come with it. They all use the same engine and include all the updates and improvements.

Yeah i can always give it a shot ... especially for the price, but ... do you think it's worth it to take the "deluxe" version directly with the LA-5 and FW ?

U cant use the Fw-190 in Battle of Stalingrad...(not sure about the opther maps). You can use the La-5 in BoS though. I'm planning to get the Hs. 129 and Ju. 52 though.

its pretty much the same, i really enjoyed the 12 days of autumn campaign. is that part of it? either way, it was good. if you do buy it, get the collectors edition, two more planes for 5 each is a steal that i regret missing out on.

It has the Bf 110E-2 which by itself holds nicely the package. MiG-3 and the 109 E-7 are nicely crafted addition.

So far, every "expansion" for the Great Battles is a must have.

The Moscow map is also well crafted.
