Here is link from a helpful user who uploaded their own game manual...

Below are links to user created manuals but they are very well done..
This is an unofficial manual but it's very indepth and was just updated recently. It's probably more useful than the offical manual.

And I need to rant. This is the response from the PRODUCER of the IL-2 series when told the link wasn't working to their game manual...10 MONTHS AGO...and he never did provide a working link to the game manual. Unbelievable.

"The server is down."
Really? C'mon devs.
Wow thanks so much, is this not a sticky post? Now to start my career of horrible flaming death, my own that is. Thanks
I wonder too why this is not found easier or stickied.
The rewards are obsolete now.
now there are real awards in each career
Thanks, glad to help. Hopefully someone with sticky it.
There appears to be 3 or more, Combat mode, Boosted mode, Emergency mode and a green one, continuous mode. I initially revved the engine whilst parked holding the brakes to show what was displayed but then took to the sky and climbed/dived to see the difference. I don't know what all the dials tell you yet as I'm still learning myself but hope that you see what you're looking for.
Good luck.

Thanks for the video AzzA! The speed and altitude on the lower left, can that be displayed within the game options by default or is a mod needed? Battle of Dover doesn't have anything that can show that which is disappointing since I'm so used to that information from IL-2 1946. It's needed for those who don't have trackIR and can't keep looking at the actual gauges with a hat swtich or mouse. :)
In game, there is an option to hide the Icons with key " i " check that they are'nt in the hidden position ( toggle i key ) and also the " H" key which hides all other icons and help messages etc as well. I think the HUD displays in " Normal" as well as " Custom " difficulty but not in " Expert "
Hope this helps, good luck
Regarding the manual, has anyone run into a listing of the interface icons anywhere? I have been too busy looking out the cockpit to read everything. So far my best strategy is to keep logging hours for more experience.

It's crazy I spend so much time looking at the official website and forums and found nothing.
This should be installed with the game.
Saweet! Tyvm.
