When it comes to learning about Stuka operations, the men, the crews, tactics ect - I highly recommend this book. It is more insightful than Rudel's book.
Taking Rudel, Mahlke and Hozzel's stuff into account - I think the AI drops it's bombs prematurely. They would drop at far lower alt then the AI does.
It depends on the size of the bomb, it's super easy to kill yourself with your own bomb in this game, unless you have a timed fuse i guess, but i never use those
They would use a delay by default, not impact detination. It sounds like you learned why if you blew yourself up. :)
Actually that's not true.. sorry but only noobs would do that. But people seems to drop bombs from 10m alt just to hit something 100% of times. When i see people using he111 like this, makes me want to cry :P Devs should really make random aaa guns placed around towns. Just to stop people from flying so low.
You wont kill yourself with bombs if you will bomb normal way from higher alt. AAA wont have easy time hitting you and you wont die from bomb, it's not as accurate as flying 10m alt but safer and more realistic
