You also need to use original parts using original molds to make new parts or salvage them off of existing ones making them extremely expensive to fly. They literally cost 4k us dollars to fly. The only way most groups are able to keep them running is through giving rids for around 4k an hour so that they can keep those planes maintained which is why so few are flying at the moment
I don't buy this, point. Hard data about Performance for the V-1 bomb is much easier to find to make than the japanese aircrafts? Who tells such a cheese?
I wonder why they not did a IL-2 1946 Anniversary Edition using this current Game Engine what they have what allows much better map quality and DM. Doing this way, we could have already all planes and maps from IL-2 1946 in much better Quality. A better FM can be always added later.
Looking for Japanese archived information is quite difficult.
Il2 1946 did NOT have a good flight model (compared to current il2) which is why they were able to get away with doing the Japanese plane-set since it matched the quality of the other planes. But under the current system you would have a bunch of well modeled planes and a have a lot of the Japanese planes not feel good at all. It would be kind of like the feeling of going from flying il2 to flying war thunder which for people like me would be unacceptable in this sim.
Doesn't matter if you buy it or not. That is the official statement from the developers. Until more data becomes available the pacific is on hold.
I know the next one is Normandy which is being worked on.
