Noob question: How to view the map

So basically I'm a noob and I'm trying to force myself to learn the instrument panels by turning off the hud.
Problem is I don't know how to view the map w/o the minimap that the hud gives you

Please help, I'm just a poor skrub. Please don't shame me, I'm trying.

Yea so I didn't realize that to view the map in fullscreen you had to use the "view mission briefing" comand. All good now.

Also that would not have worked because I basically completely changed the entire control scheme for the game.
