planes difference in ground behaviour.
Some have lockable tailwheeels, some needs light rudder to one side, some you put the stick backwards to roll straight forward..
Is there an auto-take off option ?
You could look for the videos of Requiem. There might be some advices for take off with every plane
Atleast i do so with bf109.
But I recommend searching for some videsotutorials on that. This is easier to watch than to explain by text.
Frustration is at its maximum. I paid 70 euros for this game, and I can not take off a f***** plane.
Try this: Power up the engine slightly, unlock the rear wheel, start turning using brakes, then lock it again and then counter in the opposite direction with your rudder to avoid spinning. Don't release the brakes while you counter.
It's been my technique ever since I started playing this game.
The best moment to lock and counter is usually slightly before the mid point of the turn. How much you need to counter is something you can only understand yourself in the situation you are in. Sometimes you need full rudder, sometimes just a bit.
I also suggest to start practicing on easy airplanes to taxi, such as the Stuka or the I-16.
German planes have separate brakes so assign them correctly, VVS planes goes on single break for both wheels.
For overall planes you need to apply correct propeller pitch and use combination of throttle, rudder and brakes.
It takes time but once you learn it...like riding a bike!
In RL taxing and landing are hardest stages of flight too.
For VVS planes: prop pich full (some may dissagree but that's how i do it) and combination of brakes with rudder input, more throttle with more pitch results with more airflow over the rudder giving more maneuverability, i don't use tailwheel lock!
So to adjust direction on spot brakes+rudder and hight throttle and pitch, once direction achieved maintain speed and direction with lower throttle input, brakes and rudder.
Axis planes are easier to taxi since brakes on main landing gear are separate so they are main factor and pitch is auto.
So you use throttle+ RH or LH brake in combination with rudder.
If you want to turn left: left brake+rudder and certain amount of power (throttle).
Good luck!
In German planes, the game will know in which direction you want to turn by using the input from the rudder. Not very realistic, I know, but at least handy if you don't have dedicated flight sims pedals.
