How to share videos?

What is the best way to share videos in IL2? There's no apparent "share" button and I haven't figured out where the videos are stored. Thanks in advance.

Most people make videos out of those, capturing them with Nvidia Shadowplay and editing the best parts, then upload them to YouTube or any other video platform.

So we can't access the "records" that are made /in/ IL-2 and use those to make the videos? That seems to be the case. I thought maybe they (devs) would allow us access to those files we create in-game. So it sounds like we need a 3rd party program to share these. Please correct me if I'm wrong about this, and thanks.

You can access the recordings in the \data\Tracks\ folder but the only way to play them is by launching the game and going to Flight records on the main menu. These are NOT in video format.

The only way to get a video is by capturing the gameplay or the recordings with a capturing software like shadowplay.

Thanks, Major Problem. I appreciate your diligence. I found the Tracks and couldn't recognize the file format and figured they must be proprietary. You've confirmed my suspicions. Now to figure out which video capturing software to use.
