campfire Lean-to

How do you make them or unlock them??? i lookd at wiki to learn how to make the campfire and i got the mats for it but i still cant make it. how do you unlock the ability to make campfires. Same with Lean-To's

You can build any of the available diagrams through the Journal. By default you press 'J' to open the Journal and the diagrams can be found on the first tab shown at the top. You then just pick the campfire in this example and you will now see a diagram of it shown in the world. When it shows green you can place it by pressing the 'E' button. If it shows red it means placement is obstructed. Once placed you will be able to add the needed resources to it, by aiming at it and pressing the 'E' button until it is fully completed. These structures can also be demolished at any time during building and after completion, only returning part of what has been added to it however. Make sure it is placed where you wish before finishing.

Don't feel bad. I found a campfire and two leantos in the world (bought the game and played a little over 35 mins). The last 6 mins or so after I started the campfire, it told me to cook meat with "K". Pressed "K", it opened up the menu, and every interaction I tried with the meat simply moved it from the bag to my 'quickbar', or constantly dropped it to the ground. So I spent most of that time pressing "K" to close the inventory, step back, pick up the meet, and staart the whole process again. Eventually, in my moving around to pick back up the meat (and whatever else I dropped), I assume I caught on fire, as I suddenly grunted twice and died. Still don't know how to cook the damned meat.

Thankfully cooking in real life is easier to figure out than in this game, or I'd have died years ago.

That's hilarious... I don't know if you're joking or serious, but OMG...

All you have to do to cook is get some meat, walk up to a campfire, and push k. It should give you a list of things you can craft. Just look in the menus for cooked meat items, select the ones that are highlighted white, and click on the craft button.
