D-Pad vs Analog Stick?
Do you guys play using the D-Pad or Analog Stick?

Ive been using the Analog Stick but im having a little trouble pulling off some of the moves, Because of this im struggling to sting together combos sometimes. Like in training sometimes when trying to hit back i end up with a diagonal input.

Using a Xbox 360 controller BTW.

Another thing i was gonna ask, When a move requires a down & back movement do you actually input down and back OR do you do a quarter circle?
circle

you need only down then back not quarter circle, furthermore with input shortcut on you can perform the same move while never leaving crouch with down then down and back... without ever going to pure back, that way you stay crouched and require only 2 inputs rather then 3 (standing is basically a 3rd input even though its not actually an input)

so basically you don't need to quarter circle you still can and have it work however.

you can also use alt control and require a quarter circle, this can be handy if you accidently are doing specials when say crouching and then trying to do a back + attack button basic attack.

hope this helps you understand it a bit better.

Easy question. D-Pad. Even with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Xbox 360 controller, D-Pad gives the best results.

D-Pad: at first some moves will feel more simple if you use the analog stick but your first goal in learning the game should be to totally switch to the D-Pad, the precision is just miles better. I'd lose that 360 pad though, it's not really good for fighting games.

I prefer the D-pad too, but i only have an Xbox 360 controller and it is horrible compared to the PS i used to have.

Any recommendations on a good D-Pad controller?

I bought a used Dualshock 3 (PS3 controller) and installed the Scarlet Crush drivers.

P.S. I had 360 controller already, but switched just for Dualshock 3 d-pad.
