Edit in case you do not know X is 1 and Y is 2 you can also tech normal throws with the throw button, but not front throws
Exactly what he means, he is using the correct terminalogy.
No problem it gets time to learn then, but then it becomes common knowledge that can be applied to all other fighting games. Cheers and hopefully you are having a good experience with the game (Patch broke my FPS :( )
Duck. You'll get thrown when you were sure you were crouched, it's that instant where you get up from being knocked down. Even if you're holding down when you get up from being knocked down, you stand up then crouch. You can get thrown then, it sucks. Deal with it.
You press an attack button at more or less the same instant your opponent presses the throw button. The throw will start, but you will both push each other away.
Your opponent lands the throw but presses the EX power up button. Throw is cancelled. Your opponent gains a bar of meter (I think?).
I though it burns a bar of meter when you EX a throw?
I think it explained it in the tutorial but ♥♥♥♥ going back to that.
You lose an EX meter when you EX a throw. Ducking in this game prevents you from being thrown though you CANNOT be blocking. 1(X) is for back throw and 2(Y) is for front throw.
@IRNoob23 thats exactly what its for a throw does 12-15% damage an EX throw can land you a potential 30-45% combo.
So you could still get thrown if you duck and block at the same time?
Yes you can indeed I'd add you on steam to practice and show you fundamentals, but the patch ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my performence for this game.
Also ducking in this game wiffs most projectiles, as most projectiles are high, but as soon as you block you take chip damage. Example with this is Full auto jaqui, kung jin, sub zero, cassie cage. There are some MED projectiles aswell though such as Jax Heavy Weapons rockets and Kano's knives.
