The New Characters in MKX and the Original Timeline

I am curious as to why these new characters appear in the new timeline instead of the original timeline...so maybe we can all discuss and give our hypothesis on these new characters in MKX and their whereabouts in the original timeline:

- Cassie Cage (Due to Johnny's death in MK3, Sonya and Johnny Cage didn't really become intimate and therfore, Cassie would have never been born)

- D'Vorah (It has shown that D'vorah was alive during the events of MK2 when Raiden's flashback was shown. Maybe she got killed during Shao Kahn's rule? Maybe was discovered that she was a pawn for Shinnok much more earlier?)

- Erron Black (This man lived quite a long time, but never seem to have any contact with any of the kombatants we know in the original timeline I'm assuming)

- Ferra/Torr (They possibly just lived in outworld and was not given much of attention for Shao Kahn)

- Jacqui Briggs (She may have existed in the original timeline but possibly didn't have any interest in joining the special forces or maybe Jax just didn't let her since he was still in the Special Forces as a Command Officer.

- Kotal Kahn (Possibly just continued to serve Shao Kahn or killed....might be more than that. His name remained as Ko'atal )

- Kung Jin (Kung Lao remained alive, so Jin probably just stayed as a thief and never joined the shaolin)

- Takeda (Hard to say actually. Maybe he was killed as a child along with his mother and Kenshi may have not known Takeda's existance at the time)


Maybe you guys can give a better explanation than I...these are just what I think.

heh..good point....Can't say the same for the other characters though. They have pretty long lifespan themselves.
