(fixed) cant take screenshots anymore

at the beginning i was able to take screen shots and for the past few days i cannot. even when i hit tab+shift nothing happens. however i can exit the game by alt+tab. i would really like to take some screen shots for a desktop background

I'm guessing you're pressing the Print Screen button to copy the screenshoot to clipboard and then paste it into another program? If so you can actually press F12 to take a screenshot through Steam instead.

Also I believe Shift+Tab just opens the Steam overlay.

i do use F12 but nothing shows up. there is no screenshot at the bottom of the screen that shows i took a screenshot. it worked before but it hasnt for the past few days

Have you checked the folder where the screenshots are saved? There's a chance it might have saved it but not told you for some reason.

i dont have any of the ones that i took in the past few days. i can still see the older ones though.

Maybe try changing the key for taking a screenshot in Steam settings and see what happens.

thanks it was the steam overlay. for some reason it was uncheked. i must have accidetnly unchecked it when i was screwing around with the launch options
