[Spoilers] What happened to Noob Saibot?

This thread will contain spoilers from MK9.

Just curious here, when Sub Zero popped up in the story, I assumed it was Bi Han, the first sub-zero who dies in MK9. I don't recall anything happening to Cyber Sub Zero so I assumed he would still be around somewhere? At any rate, what on earth happened to Noob? He just sorta vanishes after MK9 finishes :O

Quan Chi has to be near/around them to undo the curse. If he dies while the Revenants are in another realm (like they were) they're forever Revenants unless they discover a new way of curing them.

According to Story Mode, Quan Chi needed to be alive, period. Him dying anywhere without reversing his sorcery keeps them as revenants. Aside from that, Alchemist claimed Shinnok is the key, so who is it? Shinnok or Quan Chi? Make up your minds.

Play story mode, Sonya chapter, Quan is using souls for Revenants.

He uses souls, but not a random one. Johnny almost turned into a revenant because he was going to use his soul.

Yeah I know, so what's the problem?

The Revenants that were cured were cured when Quan Chi was defeated, however it only extended to those that were in that room.

Cyber Sub was killed in MK9 but was revived by qun Chi and was revived in pre story mission... wy he was a human reborn and not cyber ask Ed

In the comic Quan Chi states that cybernetics are clumbsy and not as good as flesh and blood, so he ripped the organic parts out of Cyber-Zero and used magic to rebuild his body, Liang also mentions this in one of his pre-fight talks stating "the one benifit of Quan Chi's magic"

Well apparently the Sub Zero in MKX is the one who became Cyber Sub Zero. No idea what's happening with his story any more lol

In the Kollektion menu i think you can see all the characters and their background story. Cyber Sub Zero was killed in a battle but i dont remember correctly, Raiden restored his soul to his human body then he died again, Quan Chi resurrected him as a revenant, then comes MKX story. I am not sure i remember correctly, but in the game somewhere you can find the character backgraunds that explains all of it.

How is it confusing? You die as a Cyborg and an evil arch-sorceror casts Dark demonic resurrection on you, why would you regenerate the machinery? It seems logical to me that his self-image and biological body would revive instead.

You weren't paying attention, it was stated that Raiden's spell to free Johnny Cage clashed with Quan Chi's magic and freed them from their Revenant state. The other Revenants were not affected because they weren't in the room. Which is why Scorpion ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it all up by killing Quan Chi in the first place. Raiden says it in these exact words that he could restore the Revenants if Quan Chi was still alive there's no way to misinterpret that.

Yeah the comics are suprisingly decent and are meant to be read alongisde MKX so you get the full picture. Personally i download each issue of Comixology every weekend.

I have enjoyed them to get me hyped up and introduced to where they were going with MKX before the games release.. The last one was especially interesting since it actually felt like it filled a hole between the games.
