You think maybe this game's just a little too hard?!
Dude...anyone play the Story on Hard? I have never won a fight without losing at leat 30 times. This is exactly like playing a chess match against a computer. You win if it lets you. I will never try to win on Very Hard. There's no point. The non-stop glitching/lagging/whatever you call that...is not helping.

I thought Dead or Alive was really hard until I played this. Even the hardest difficulty on DOA5LR seems like Normal compared to Hard on MKX's Story mode.

I never thought I'd do it, but I used Skip Fight to bypass the Sonya VS Kano Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Roll Rolll ROLL! ROLL! ROLL!.....fight. This POS really needs to learn a new f*cking move!

As soon as I used Skip Fight...I quit, in shame of having to use such a pathetic crutch, but all things considered, there is truly no way to beat Kano on Hard with Sonya. She sucks in this game, especially compared to how she used to be, especially in MK9!

When I jump, I get hit by a Roll at least 95% of the time.

It just isn't fun at all when you have to lose 30 times to win once, and any trash-talking afterwards feels much more like an infuriating insult than a "victory". This game exploits it's non-stop combos way too often; combos you and I would never be able to pull off at-will during a heated fight, whenever we pleased. Pressing a button seems to trigger a computer response along with your own, ensuring a counter-attack almost always. It's all I can do to not throw my controller across the room!

Dude do you even know what "hard" means?? Look it up in the dictionary
GigaChadGuy Apr 20, 2015 @ 11:27pm
the ONLY fight i've ever used a skip fight is on the Sonya and Kano fight, i just don't like sonya she is garbage compared to MK9. every other fight i've been able to do without trying more than once or twice

except Sonya Vs Kano, just go ahead and use a skip and save yourself the frustration

I agree. The fact that the complexity is too high. In fact, besides the Hard mode, there are higher! And what to do with them? I played on every difficulty and it reminded me of Injustice. There's the same thing happening. In MK9 Player can even experts easily win as children. But since Injustice, Hard Mode really too Hard. And so do the rest of the complex is inexcusable. On the one hand, it is a challenge. but on the other challenge that is clearly too tough for many. Changes in the mechanics also contribute their complexity. You can not interrupt the Dash with block, if you're doing Dash, the enemy can easily attack you because you are vulnerable. In MK9 often had to make Dash and then press Block to reduce the distance and go into protection. Running does not help in this case. My opinion.:OhNoBlue:

even top tier player dont play online honing their skills and just use hardest difficulty in practice mode. those bots punish everything with 100% strings

i would do the story on medium before transfering into hard. But yeah, alot of people keep training offline atm to get strong enough. The very hard bots just wreck so much people :D .. already hard to beat hard bots (get it.. "hard" to beat "hard" bots)

Are the trolls dying down a bit? 8-l Okay, good.

Here are some recordings (can't believe this is necessary)

This is them taking it "easy" on me (not as brutal as most of my matches have been). It got to where I put the controller on my lap, and pressed Y for like 8 matches, until it worked. No fun involved. I can beat anything else in this game, including online people, but this...Story mode on "Hard"...is unbelievable. Never experienced a difficulty like it in my entire lifetime. This is coming from a severe fighting game professional. Held tournaments at my house and everything, for many games. Only lost like 3 times out of around 30 or so fights in those tournaments.

I am all about a challenge. Wouldn't have chosen Hard as my Story difficulty otherwise, but this registers well past their normal Hard (in Battles) on the difficulty scale in Story mode. This is just absurd.

It is the same as in Injustice. AI reads your button presses and just counters you. Very Hard is even worse. But i bet there is a cheap tactic here somewhere, just like it was in Injustice with Grundy's grabs and Hawkgirl mace-rush.

I don't play fight games, only Mortal Kombat. I'm a beginner and always will be, but the point is training, training and training.

This is how i do it, i choose a character and play with it in training mode. Learn the basic, basic combo's and core gameplay. When i've got the hang of it, i'm going to try more advanced combo's and special moves.

After that, i'm going to try different character styles and other characters. After a while, you will get the hang of it. I won my first 3 single-player battles without losing.

I can do live towers, campaign and single fight on medium difficulty. Just by spending some time in training mode.

This game is very bad i prefere Mk9 now i not buy other Mk this my last game from this dev .

i'm sorry but why would you play "hard" in your first playthrough of the game? I get that usually even "SUPER MEGA HARDCORE" in games nowadays is just "normal" for expirienced player. But this hard and very hard is a huge step to being really confirming their meaning. In MK9 i was cleaning towers without any loses on extreme in 7 minutes, that's a JOKE, at least those AI can help you train really well and show you some potential combos and punishes that you would need to research yourself.

Hah, this guy has the right of it.

This has *always* been the case in Netherealm games. If you watched Max's stream when they were playing through the Klassic MK games, they commented on the AI being the exact same way in that.

In UMK3 the common exploit was the jump back loop. Although, while ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ button/frame reading AI is a thing that is more associated with Netherealm games, those sorts of AI breaking exploits aren't at all exclusive to their games. Old Capcom fighters had the jabjab uppercut or crouching short uppercut exploit, which was pretty uniform across a couple games.
