How to counter: Low & Overhead combos
So I've been playing alot online as Takeda, and I usually have a blast, until I meet an opponent that has me in my weakest spot, the wakeup.
Takeda is known for being very slow in means of starting a combo and I find it really hard to wakeup vs opponents like Cassie or Erron that has both overhead and low starting combos, since im obliged to get up defending (because if I try to use a wakeup attack I will be smacked).
So the question I, and maybe others here, want to ask, is how to wakeup properly against a faster opponent (in my case every character which is not another Takeda), is it just a matter of chance if my defence matched my opponents choice, or is there a way to not be smacked in the face 3 times before doing so

Use armored special moves on wake-up or guess your bloc correctly. The situation when you have to guess opponents move or get hit is normal in fighting games.

PS. Cassie and Erron not as cruel pressers. You just didnt play against the normal Sonya, she is beast presser

Armor moves are a good idea, but I cant find any armor move in Shirai Ryu Takeda, usually I just guess but Cassie can backflip and try again and I dont have a combo that has enough range to get her (All the whip combos are simply too slow starters)

Doesn't Kunai have a slight advantage on block? What about d1? f3? His throw is pretty fast too.

they are not kombo starters as far as I know, and kunai usually misses because she gains distance and then dashes right back in for more, sometimes I can jump and teleport to the other side but I have to use air teleport to not be disturbed, and I simply land defensless, ready to take a beating (and even that doesnt work if she is moving towards me jumping)
