Controller not working

I have my Xbox 1 controller hooked up to the computer and it doesn't work please help

I have an Xbox Controller as well. In order to get the game to recognize it, I highlighted the "Wireless Controller" option and hit the A button, which changed the configurations to that of a controller, and not the Keyboard layout as if you used the Keyboard and pressed ENTER. I don't have the game 100% downloaded yet, so I still crash when I try to save my controller configuration, though. I assume it will be fixed when I have no more packs to download.

If the game recognizes the xbox controller, all the screen pictures of the buttons will show green, blue, yellow, red etc.

I tried pressing A with the Wireless controller highlighted and went into it and pressed A still didn't work. And my controller has been connected so idk whats up

I was having trouble with my controller working in the game and tried this and got the same thing. It went to a controller setting page but as soon as I push a button on the controller it crashes the game to desktop.

I have the whole game downloaded.

Using a PS4 controller (wired) and it works great.

I am having the same issue. It says "Wireless Controller" and then it crashes when I push it with my controller. I tried my 360 pad / my Eightarc fight stick and it happens to both. If I go in as my Keyboard and mouse then it works fine. Please help and or fix. ^^;;;

Pretty sure it always shows that. My logitech has numbers instead of symbols and sure enough I get symbols showing in-game. MK9 showed numbers with my controller.

We shouldn't be talking about this, mortal kombat x is a big game and should at the very minimum have controller support perfect for launch!.....This aint early access!!!

For whatever reason I verified my game cache and restarted Steam and now my controller works at least. I still cannot change the mapping but it works.

You are right Stuntman, for a AAA title this has been one of the ugliest launches I can remember of late.

It all started with trying to be too cute with that stupid streaming install crap.

I have disabled Xbox controller support schema in steam controller settings and now it works perfectly

Still an issue in 2022, no resolution. There is no wireless controller option for me. I've unplugged everything, tried it, turned om the controller before loading the game, restarted everything, all to no avail.
