Really, you'd recommend that instead of buying a controller for half the price, and nearly no hassle.
A native supported 360 ÆUSB controller costs only 1/3 of the price of a DS 4 controller.
Cheapest I've seen a Windows Wired Xbox 360 controller is about $25-30 USD, I have 2 DS4s but I got on Black Friday for $40, won't pay $60 and won't dare use it on my PC either.
The Wireless one doesn't work like that... you need a wireless adpater that will send a signel to your controller
When you plug in any compatible controller, in the Controls section of the Game appears a special section for the controller to assign the buttons? I am asking this because without a controller plugged in ... I didn't find the settings for controller buttons, just for the keyboard layout.
Thanks!
I use a Controller, and the button reconfig are for the Controller buttons.
Why? they are 10x better than the horrible 360 pad and most games nowadays support the ds4 without any xinput emus. iirc mkx is one of them.
How are they 10x better than the Xbox360?
100% of games that support gamepads since 2005 natively support the Xbox360/One controller.
And no most games don't support the DS4. A very nice select few do.
probably shouldve written that differently, suppose its more a matter of taste but I find the 360 pads almost useless and they feel like cheap toys especially the joke of a dpad.
as for the support I meant games more recently, last couple of years but its more than a select few, its more and more.
xbox360 Dpad sucks , its a like a toy , not the best option for a fighting game (might just be perfect for any other types of games) .
A DS4 DPad is the best (actually al DS Dpad's are great) . And with a free tool (ds4windows) you get the same exact support , since you are emulating an xbox360 controller. The funny thing is like for example, with Oddworld new and tasty , it is supposed to have xbox360 native support ,and a lot of people are having issues with a "supported" controller , while im having 0 issues with my ds4 + ds4windows
It's not that it's like a toy, it's that it's a disc as opposed to a proper plus, which makes it very imprecise for fighting game inputs.
The Xbox 360 Controller is an absolutely great Controller in my opinion _except_ for fighting games because of this.
