I can't do the Double Spear with Scorpion
Hi, I'm a noob at Mortal Kombat, so I launched the game and did the Introduction with Scorpion, everyhing went well until it asked me to do the enhanced version of the spear. For my configuration it is : "Left-Right-4 + 9" But I can only do a normal spear.

Sometimes, I do a punch with some flames after the spear but I can't reproduce it often and it doesn't trigger the next steps of the tuto. So I guess it's not the Double Spear.

Thanks for the help!

Same as you though I'm using the xbox controller. Been on this for 5 minutes now and I swear I've tried everything. Pressing them right after each other, pressing them together, holding one of them, anything I could think of. Sometimes he does the fire punch like you said, but other than that I am genuinely out of ideas of how to do it.
Will update if I manage :P

It's just the same key combo only you should hit the block button as you hit the final key in the sequence. For instance on the Xbox controller it's:

Away from the enemy, Toward the enemy, X. You hit right trigger right as you hit X.

Just ensure you're hitting your block key right as you press the final key to cast the spear and you should get it easily. The attack your looking for literally shoots two spears.

Same, I can't for the live of me do the EX moves on a keyboard. I try pressing it just after or even just at the same time, it just doesn't register.

To make matters worse the meter depletes after each try.

It's an EX move just like any other. You have to do spear and hit block at the same time as the button, so back forward 4+9 at the same time.

well somehow I did it.. no idea how. I sort of kind of pressed them all at once and it just went. Was still infuriating.

You wanna hit both button presses at the same time, so on the Xbox controller it'd be back, forward, X + R trigger. That move also has a second enhance, keep tapping R after the spears connect and he'll send hellfire down the chains instead of pulling the opponent in. Takes some practice to get the timing down, just keep at it.

^^ As this says, it's all about timing.

Check an option in controller settings, that set the special moves release, after or before your imput the last button comand.

This is ridiculous honestly. I managed to do the moves in the OP but I'm now stuck on a kombo requiring me to do i,j,l,SQK (kick combo + teleport). The last teleport move in the kombo just doesn't register no matter what I do.

I have no problem doing any of those moves individually, but when I try to do the teleport move after the first kombo it either doesn't register at all (presumably because I'm too fast) or it does it and doesn't update the tutorial (presumably because I'm slightly too slow).

Honestly, I've never had a problem with the TUTORIAL of any game ever before lol.

Done it after practicing a bit. Indeed it's all about timing, and it's kinda tricky with the numpad of a keyboard. but it's doable. At least in tuto or practice, cause Online I get my ass pawned.

Be aware that some keyboards will not register more than a certain amount of keys pressed at the same time.

Check this site to see if you can hold all the keys at the same time and they are registered or not : http://www.microsoft.com/appliedsciences/content/projects/KeyboardGhostingDemo.aspx
