The easiest 'fix' would be to remove any recording of rankings or related unlocks when using said character. So, if people played Goro online, they would be more like trolls or human-controlled boss fights which players run afoul of from time to time, but whom losing to meant little in terms of those meaningless badges, statistics and spqeudo content that the plebe masses grind their lives away for.
They could also make beating an OP character like Goro yield a greater reward than against a generic character (e.g., more XP, dedicated Achievements, unique titles etc)-- to incentivise fighting him.
A little lateral thinking can go a long way... not to mention preserve characters' integrity while keeping the whining masses quiet.
This post is idiotic. Goro should either be balanced or online-disabled. Suggesting otherwise alludes strongly to an inability to perform with an actual character.
Maybe I should start whining because a balanced, online-playable Shang Tsung is 'watered down' and 'insulting'.
