game crash forces PC reboot

Every time this game freezes up online (which it does quite often) I have to manually kill the game via task manager. Once this happens I can no longer launch the game, I only get an infinite black screen when the game attempts to boot. the only way to successfully launch the game again is to reboot my PC.
Yes, I've checked for any MKX or Steam processes still running and there aren't any. I've even logged off of my Windows user account and logged back in. The only thing that will get the game back up and running is a complete system reboot.

High Voltage, please fix this ♥♥♥♥ game.
NRS, please find another company to port your games to PC.

Honestly, you are lucky that you can click it from the task manager when the game freezes. I always have it minimized and the only option i have is to reboot. Yeah,completly ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I hope in a fix too.

I had the same thing happen to me. Task manager was always minimized and I couldn't bring it up to see it when game crashed. If you open task manager, choose options, and set it to "always on top" it will show when you call for it when any game crashes.

I do. I don't think my card drivers are crashing though. My screen doesn't cut out and I get no error messages reporting a crash. The game just locks up. When I alt+Tab everything else is working fine..

If this isn't a blatant sign of incompetence by HVS I don't know what is. How are these guys not catching any flak from NRS, the BBB, or media?..

To stop crashes disable anisotropic filtering through Nvidia control panel. it worked for me.

Disabled anisotropic filtering and now the game won't hold 60fps during matches...
If I owned a console I would have abandoned this ♥♥♥♥ port a long time ago. Shame.

I just pushed though some online matches with fps around 40-50 with anisotropic forced off just to see whether or not that was the cause of the issue. Nope. Still randomly freezing up (mostly after online matches).
