Crash on startup
My game keeps crashing every time I start it, all I see is the logo and then just nothing.
Steam game is running and then goes back to syncing right after.
I tried reinstalling drivers, verifying game cache, running as administrator and some other "fixes" I found after researching 20 pages of google, also tried contacting support but they couldn't help me either. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it a lot.

My specs:
CPU : Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU : RTX 3060
OS : Windows 10
RAM : 32 GB

Hello there,
  • Did you try to press "Play" --> "Configure" --> "Play Game" ?
  • Does your graphics device is correctly defined by the "Configure" mode?
  • You say, that you have already tried check the integrity of game files, right? 2 files were downloaded, right?
  • Try to start the game from Steam BigPicture mode and then as usual. For like 5 times in a row. With totally exiting from Steam [log-out] before it. As far as I remember it worked 1 time for me for some bug, and thus I managed to get into MK_X in-game menu to try for example window mode instead of fullscreen mode.
  • Do you have 64bit Windows? I heard some info that if you have 32bit system, then the game can not work properly.
  • Also I found this one weird advice, maybe it will help in your case: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=456713244
  • If you have NVIDIA Control Panel, then you can try to go to "Manage 3D Settings", open second tab ["Program Settings"], then choose or add [if not present] "mk10.exe" . I have no idea which option can be resposible for crashes, so you can try to turn off some of them, one by one. I recommend to start with turning off "Threaded Optimization" setting. It helped me in one other game. After that click "Apply", bottom left.
  • Try to delete the game, and then to download and install it again.
  • You say that you have already tried to update your drivers - if you meant only drivers for your video card, then also try to install/update Direct X, Java and some other often required for the games additional programs. Then don't forget to reboot your PC after update/reinstallation of any drivers.

I doubt that it help, because obviously the game has very bad optimization for Steam platform and PC users, but who knows. It looks like different players who has problems with game launching have different origins of these problems. And official WB tech support doesn't help with MK_X troubles on Steam platform [although they usually do respond].
I wish you good luck

Thank you so much for the reply!
- Yes I did try a few times, same results.
- It was recognised and showed all three of my monitors correctly.
- This looks like a new fix, I definitely haven't tried the big picture but I will.
- I have 64 bit.
- Already tried the duplicate screen thing :(
- Sadly the threaded optimisation thing doesn't do anything for me.
- I tried removing all nvidia drivers and reinstall them, but also uninstalling gamepad drivers and directx. Reinstalled and repaired directx like 10 times.

I really appreciate your help, but sadly this one seems unfixable.

To add: I tried running this game on a Virtual Machine, but it won't launch either. I am guessing that it's not my pc.
