Mods?

Can somebody clearly explain whether mods are possible with the Steam XL updated version of the game? If so, how do you install them? I'm on the MKSecrets website, and I can't find a thread in clear, coherent English that easily explains modding for this title.

I just got this during the summer sale, and I'm loving it, but wanted to add Savini's Jason skin and a new Kano skin. But I can't tell what applies to the X version of the game, or XL, or if modders are using illegal copies, or what's going on.

problem is if you download the mkx character skins like i did with the chuck norris liu kang you need to have 2 folders. 1 backup folder and one folder contraining the new skins.
If you start the game you need to start it witht he original files and copy paste the moded file inside the main folder after the game got started in steam. It willc heck for original files if you start it in steam. Hope this get changed. There is a larger modding community. I think it deserve a steam workshop and some nude skins XD

Hi, i just bought the game today and now im stuck on the first screen where the game tells you to "Press The A Button". Plz Help. I have a win10 OS. I plan to play the game in keyboard mode the same as the previous MKgame. Thanks in advance

you moded anything ? Normally start the game and push a buttom. I think it is enter. I would use a dualshock controller.

I didnt mod anything. I just bought and installed and run the game as it is and then at the start of the game, it tells me to press the A button and I've tried to press everything on my keyboard but it still wont get past the "Press The A Button" screen.. I dont have a DS controller :(

right click mkx and do verify game cash. if this not work try to install newest grafic card drivers or in the worst case if nothing help wtite the wb support. They helped me a lot i bought the wrong version of mk9 longer time ago and it not worked because i bought a russian key. Wb fixed it and removed the game from my libary and gave me a normal version. Very nice support.

So there's no way to mod the game and just start it like it's a normal title then...?

That's disappointing. That's kinda how I like my mods, as if it's just an enhanced version of the game. I might just stick with vanilla MKXL then, as I think they did a pretty great job with most of the design choices and characters.
