will be just another broken port + lets be honest Fight games die on PCs kinda fast
So true, the only time the population in fighting games get a boost is when a sale happens. This is especially true for MKX. And the sad thing is the boost only lasts for a few weeks.
So what? We still deserve the game on this platform and they'll still make money. It doesn't matter what game it is, most games die after awhile anyways. The reason for this is because we keep releasing new titles that are the same as the last and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. Does that mean we should just stop releasing titles all together on the PC? Lol. It was a bad port but half the people who tried running this game had ancient PC's as well. Also, if they hired some competent employee's this time around, then it wouldn't happen.
And till this day no evidence was shown that mkx on pc is more populated to Xbox one....just shut the fark up gabi and stay missing on steam.
And Netherleams games will not stop coming to pc. Since 2013 all of them are coming and will contrinue coming forever!
According to steams spy, all of them has sold around 2 millions an that more than enough sales ro make a profit because fighting games are very simiple games as it is just 2 people fighting.
They are not 40+ hours long action games like middle earth shadow of war assasins creed origins and far cry 5. They cheap to make. Also more and more people are starting gaming on pc because they either realize that only pc can offter the ultimate gaming experience and are stopping playing on consoles. With new releases more and mroe will be playing fighters on pc. That why capcom Namco e.t.c. is releasing them same time.
Unfortunately steam spy stopped saying sales numbers so we will never know how well mk11 will sell but it will sell very well.
And what you said about people having ancient pcs' at mk10 release....
Many of us have upgraded since then
I for example had Core i5 12 gb ddr3 1600 mhz gtx 970 and 21'' 1080p monitor at MK10 release date
Now i have Ryzen 1700 16 gb ddr4 3200mhz gtx 970 and 24'' 1440p 60 hz ips monitor
A pc that eats any fighting at max settings 1440p for breakfast and many other people have done simialr upgrades ro mine or even better since mk10 release. Which means if they had problems online for mk10 due to very old pc''s they will be fine when MK11 release.
Your misunderstanding this. The PC version of MK is unreliable in terms of the pc community dropping out like autumn leaves until a sale arrives. It doesnt matter how strong yours, mine or anyone elses system is or how narrow someone elses system is. Its based on the reliability of the platform its going to be released on, including the MK community maintaining it. When I mean by reliablity, im talking about the fact that the game is 100% going to release on consoles. 100% going to be a community to back it.
If your a die hard fan of MK or any other fighting games, get it on console (preferrably PS4), because like you said your going to spend countless hours playing it. If your gonna get it on PC, thats fair enough, everyone has a choice, but when the next MK game or any other fighting game releases on PC, dont complain that there not gonna release it at the beginning or complain that theres hardly any players to challenege after a few weeks, because the history has given us experience. MK9 KE release late. MKXL released late....Injustice 2 released late with a small community to back it on top of that.
MK9 KE ran pretty strong, I got my hours and fun playing that. Not to mention the fact, most MK games are meant to be played with friends locally or multiplayer with King of The Hill. How can you say there's no community to back MK up on the PC? Just look at everyone posting here. Like you said, It's our choice where we decide to purchase it. The reason why MKX didn't have much people is because it had a horrible release and port. Injustice has and always will be a crappy fighting game. A true MK fan finds that games like DCU vs MK, Injustice and etc to be jokes of the franchise.
I was here when the game first released, If you wanna scroll all the way back and check my post history. Most of the people who complained about poor performance, had crappy PCs. I even had to prove it to them that it runs on decent hardware at 60fps. You gotta remember that some people will buy something even tho they don't meet the requirements, then cry when it doesn't work properly. It doesn't matter how strong someone's system is? Are you listening to yourself right now? Of course it does. As for reliability of the platform, that's because they are old school developers who are use to making games solely for arcades and consoles. If they hired someone who could actually do a port correctly, then the reliability would be there. They could also do multiplayer cross-platform play, that would also give a boost in players. Just look at Rocket League, it's still running strong.
There is support for MK on the PC.
