Game startup slow as hell
so I just bought this game and run it for the first time. And well a few seconds after launching it shows the mortal kommbat XL logo for like 2 minutes. Afterwards I get a windowewed screen but it's just black. Still stuck on that black window after 3 minutes. halp

What are your pc specs ? mine starts up pretty fast

I have like 4 gb ram. 2.6 GHZ

MKX makes a lot of preload stuff at start of the game. I guess it was made in this way to avoid longer loading time ingame.

It's your PC. You really need to upgrade, bud. A PC with 4 GBs of ram and a 2.6 GHz CPU is bad for gaming, unless you play games from 2006-2010~ And that's if you have a good enough GPU.

Sorry if I sound mean in anyway, just saying the truth so you could upgrade if you can.

enjoy. this load speed is completely random. sometimes, it will load instantly. same excact issue as with injustice. to speed up the loading, when the little MKX splash screen comes up, alt+f4. it will close the poinltess splash screen and stop wasting resources on it, allowing the actual game to load faster

edit: no. its NOT your pc. i have 32gb of the fastest ram known to man (about 5 years ago anyways) with a nice little i5 4690 and 770gtx. its the game.

So I just tried the game again and the windowed black screen was up again. I left it for 10 min and it's still like that. I put on my headphones and there was sound, which I'm guessing is the main menu sound. I tried clicking around but to no avail. Maybe it is my computer... damn laptop

I had a feeling it was a laptop. Laptops aren't meant for gaming, especially if it has no dedicated graphics card. Anyway, I suggest you save up and build a PC for gaming. Good luck.

did you try press alt+enter during this time?it takes about one minute and half or 2 minutes no more than that.

Just ignore him, bud. You can check out the PC builds list on the PCMR sub-reddit here

You could go over the <500 USD limit and get the The Exterminator or go with The Crusher for 439 USD.

Or you could post here providing more details on where you live and what exactly is your budget. Best of luck!
