gonna be ninja, but the female priest is the safest one to use due to her special ability (HP9999 regenerate) during battle :)

if you want to hit and evade speed, rely on magic to defeat or resit it mg, there is no optimal build, you just need to know what the stats do and make the decision on how to tackle the challenge

My first option always the agility, because it's not only decide whatever you're able to hit your target in battle, but also the hit rate for field magic, and also the chances you can duck away any any trap. So for me agility always the first priority, and then it's HP > magic > strength > defence.
Easiest to use and beginner-friendly: Scoop, same as Hero in Kingdom. With sufficient speed, he can cast sleep and then 5-bine to kill anyone on the same map in 1 turn uninterrupted. Even Darkling can be killed this way consistently.
Most OP: I think Molde, but need to know how to use her well. Also, the remake can adjust battle magic to be infinite use so she is even better than in the original. However, in late game, everyone has Bounce, so she can be obsolete if not using field magic such as sleep in addition.
Ninja is great in Dokapon kingdom due to the focus on the most important stats: ATK and SPD. Also, the hero class is too late to unlock. In SoF, you can get Scoop from the beginning, so he is not as mandatory as Ninja in Kingdom. He is still good choice in SoF. Even OP if using field-magic with status ailment.

Scoop, the guile head kid, but his special ability looks a bit week compare to others, because his special ability 'overload' has pretty high chance to be fail.

Not very high, I think no more than 10-20%. Can kill Darkling comfortably.
Cast sleep then overload until he can one shot, with enough speed.

Don't forget there's a chance your enemies would be awake during battle, the sleep cast may not be as stable as you think.
