Out of Range?

Everytime I try to start the game, My screen goes black and has a little box that says "Out of range". Anybody know how to fix this? Thank you!

Hey

1) Go to the "Data" folder in the Sleeping Dogs directory:
- ...........steamapps\common\SleepingDogsDefinitiveEdition\data

2) Open up the "DisplaySettings.xml" file (with notpad, or an alternative program), and change the parameters of the display values based on your native display resolution - For example.....

<ResolutionWidth>1366</ResolutionWidth>
<ResolutionHeight>768</ResolutionHeight>

The displaysettings.xml is not in the data folder for some reason...
The only things in there are Audio, Global, Movies, Shaders and UI folders

- CPU: Processor
- GPU: Do you have a dedicated graphics card?
- 32-Bit / 64-Bit
- Ensure that all your drives have sufficient hard drive space
- Type of device: Laptop, PC, Tablet, etc
- Type of Display: Monitor, TV, etc

Immediately as the game launches (black screen, before the "Out or Range" text) try pressing "Alt-Tab".

I think I'm getting closer?
It doesn't go to the black screen and goes into the windowed mode with the company logos,
but says:
Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition executable has stopped working
with a white screen
