Using XBOX One controller for Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Hi all, I've managed to use my XBOX One controller on the Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition game, but moving the character is limited to the left joystick. Is there any way I can use the Dpad instead? I tried the re-assigning keys option in-game, but there is no way to re-assign controller keys. Thanks for the help.

I'm having similar problems, but I'm using an 8bitdo controller in xinput mode - I can't look up or down and look right and left is bound to up and down on the right stick with no option to change it.
