I had that issue, too. Turns out you need to use photontricks and set it up for a vitrual desktop. "If you get protontricks you can do "protontricks 307690 winecfg" then go to the Graphics tab, and then check Emulate a virtual desktop and set it to 1920x1080." I found that here: https://www.protondb.com/app/307690

I had to install protontricks, as I had never heard of it before. Good luck!

I had this issue too, but worked around it by simply moving to the next workspace and returning back again. I think something about the game losing focus fixes it. This is on Cinnamon.

Hit this on Ubuntu 22.04. The game does not work in full screen mode, but after I switched it to windowed mode it worked fine.

I manually created a config file located in ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/SleepingDogsDefinitiveEdition/data/DisplaySettings.xml and set the <Fullscreen> to 0.

<?xml version="1.0"?> <DisplaySettings> <Version>1</Version> <AdapterUID>-1800063984</AdapterUID> <MonitorUID>-2057831840</MonitorUID> <ResolutionWidth>1920</ResolutionWidth> <ResolutionHeight>1080</ResolutionHeight> <RefreshRateNumerator>60000</RefreshRateNumerator> <RefreshRateDenominator>1000</RefreshRateDenominator> <ScalingMode>default</ScalingMode> <ScanlineMode>progressive</ScanlineMode> <Fullscreen>0</Fullscreen> <Stereo3D>0</Stereo3D> <StereoEyeDistance>0.0300000#3CF5C28F</StereoEyeDistance> <VSync>1</VSync> <AAQuality>0</AAQuality> <TextureDetailLevel>0</TextureDetailLevel> <ShadowRes>0</ShadowRes> <ShadowFilter>0</ShadowFilter> <MotionBlur>0</MotionBlur> <SSAO>0</SSAO> <FPSLimiter>0</FPSLimiter> <Option3DDepth>0</Option3DDepth> <Option3DConvergence>10</Option3DConvergence> <WorldDensity>0</WorldDensity> <GlobalSetting>1</GlobalSetting> <EnableLowResBuffer>0</EnableLowResBuffer> </DisplaySettings>
