ONLY WORKS ON 64BIT!!!
I downloaded the demo on my 32bit computer and it worked. I played the demo and then purchased the game afterwards only to find out that you have to have 64bit for it to work. Wasted an hour of my life trying to get the game to work.

Makes no damn sense to me. Hoping I get a refund.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition doesn't have a demo only the original game does. Even your game list says Sleeping Dogs Demo, not Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition Demo.

Im guessing you thought that the Minimum System Requirements were really more of a suggestion than actual requirements, yes?

Or maybe he was wondering why the demo worked on 32bit but the full game doesn't.

Correct EuroTrash. The Demo is offered in 32Bit but the full game only works with 64bit. Steam offered to credit my account for the money I paid (After 2 weeks of waiting)

There is no 'Definitive Edition' demo. The demo you played was the old, original version of the game, which was 32-bit.

There are two separate and independent editions of Sleeping Dogs on Steam - the classic Sleeping Dogs which supported 32-bit and had a demo and then there's this completely remade Sleeping Dogs - Definitive Edition which only works on 64-bit and which doesn't have a demo.

They are two completely different games in a way. It's not one game with the same content just two different editions as, say, Skyrim vs Skyrim: Legendary Edition. This is not the case. Technically they are very different. The demo you tried, OP, was to a different game.

You cannot buy Sleeping Dogs (classic) on Steam anymore though. Which is a shame but whatever.

However you can trade the game, so you can get Sleeping Dogs Classic trading.

Welcome to the future. 32-bit is rapidly being replaced... Just get 64 bit.

But I see you refunded already. A waste in my opinion. I mean, you're going to have to upgrade eventually. No sense trying to fight the tides of change.

It's truth, OS 32 bits isn't a good decision these days, only if is for business or things like that otherwise 64-bits must be the only choice.

32 bit should have auto upgrade to 64 bit. i dont see why would they let people who got 32 bit actually be held back. they dont know about the difference, so its microsoft's job to teach em and do the upgrade for them.

It's not microsofts job to give people free upgrades because they bought an obsolete product.... And if you bought 32-bit 'x' amount of years ago it's time to catch up with the times and update your OS unless you don't want to game.

As stated by Jorch, you're totally wasting money on 32-bit OS unless you're just doing business, or word documents or something. I suppose by this sense of logic Microsoft should automatically upgrade everyone from 360 to Xbone, right?

It's a business man, they're in it to make a profit, not hand out freebies and live off peace and love.
