no dlc outfits in definitive edition?

I bought the definitive.make it do the part where i have my crib, but there arent any dlc outfits/cars to choose from. only dlc i have are the story dlcs. Anyone know how to activate clothing?

You have to buy the dlc clothing at a vendor. There will be vendors that appear on the minimap with a gold T-shirt they sell all the dlc clothing. You also have to purchase all of the dlc cars.

they made it way more interesting, now dlc items require face level, and purchased with ingame cash.

This is good news. I was hoping for it to be this way. originally, I made the mistake of buying the first game and all its DLC together and it became instantly enabled, with piles of cars, cash and apartments available from the start (plus heaps of points). I would much prefer to work from the beginning.
