my card is a Nividia GTX860M and I am still having plenty of difficulty with the quality of graphics + speed of the game.

Yes, but you probably need to tweak the settings low, even lower the resolution to maintain at least 30+ fps. Just make sure that your drivers are up to date!

check it on youtube and think my laptop can play, then realize that old version
check the new version and see low fps, why steam remove old version??
no buy from me
I just bought this game (because it was on sale) and because its pretty new, Im worried about how well my PC will run it (and GTA V when it comes out)... I have a nvidia geforce gtx 770, 16gb ram, aoc 2752h monitor 1920 x 1080, intel core i7-4770k 3.50ghz running windows 8.1 64bit, i bought it from "ibuypower" last year... should I upgrade my video card? I like to run my games with the settings maxed out... Im more woried about how well GTA V will run since Ive been waiting for that for 2 years, but I would like to try Sleeping Dogs (havent installed it yet) before then

You should not need to upgrade in atleast a year. 770 is really good GPU, compared to PS4 it is more than 2x more powerfull than PS4´s GPU. You will be able to play GTA V.

I have a low end GT620 (2gb) and I still get 30ísh fps in this game. It runs much better then GTA IV, that was a slideshow for me.

Even if a graphics card is more powerful than the PS4, games made for the console will be optimized for its architecture. Poor PC ports have been released for years (remember GTAIV?), so performance analysis should be done on a game by game basis.

Do you mean Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition runs better than GTAIV? I am safe!

Yup! This version is playable for me, compared to GTA IV. (I do play it with lower resolution thouh, 1080 was to much for my Gcard)
