I love this game... they should continue to come out with more games on this.

Sadly, it's not gonna happen. There was a planned sequel, as well as an MMO spin-off, but neither came to pass. The sequel got cancelled in 2013, and the spin-off followed suit in 2016. Later on that same year, the devs shut down.

Oh please, not that. Rockstar means 2K, and that means they'd probably add in something like that stupid launcher.

OG United Front Games studio and subsequent devs are long gone. Square Enix still owns the IP but have no plans to do anything with it. In fact they shut down all pitches from United Front Games in the past for a sequel. There was some hope that the movie would generate enough interest to do something but the movie died in the water too.

But I personally believe its for the better as the new game would most likely end up taking a way too different direction considering the above.
