70 hrs on Steam Deck (Nov 2023) - FYI install steps

Posting this here in case it helps someone.

I purchased the game during Black Friday even though it is listed as 'unsupported' for Steam Deck users. Steam Deck is my main gaming machine and at £2 I thought I'd take a chance at it - was planning to refund if it wouldn't work.

Best £2 I ever spent!

Installation process:

1. downloaded the game and launched it in handheld mode
   
2. set it to proton experimental
   
3. game got stuck on "running install script (Microsoft VC Redist Package)"
   
4. pressed the steam key (brings up side-menu) then clicked back into game by selecting it from the top of the list
   
5. this surfaced a Microsoft pop-up menu that was previously hidden. Hit OK.
   
6. let the installer run again, game booted to black screen
   
7. went game settings > properties > installed files > verify integrity of game files
   
8. game launched after this

Though I didn't get the option for 1080p - set it to 1200 x something instead and had no issues.
