Easiest way to get Gambler GOLD and how to fix gambling earnings not going up

This is just here to save people the trouble of jumping from forum to forum, walkthrough to walkthrough etc. finding the easiest and quickest way to earn money from gambling to achieve GOLD on 'Gambler', so...

PART 1: Easiest and quickest way to get GOLD for 'Gambler'

Everywhere you look, the most common way is to get the Kennedy Town safehouse to make the process quicker, since it's like a 20 second drive, and bet max bet on cockfighting in Kennedy Town and then save only when you win and reload when you lose.

The problem is picking which betting tactic that works. I've tried both even/odd tactic and chance percentage between rooster colours tactic but for me, I just went with the even/odd because I ran out of patience with the losses on the colours tactic.

The Even/Odd betting tactic

Unfortunately I lost the link to the original, but it took me a minute to wrap my head around it when I first read it so to put it in an easier to read way for everyone, let's call even number of wins and odd number of wins, suits.

Same suit = Bet on higher wins
E.g Rooster #1 w/ 4 wins VS Rooster #2 w/ 2 wins - Bet on Rooster #1
(They are both even numbers so are even suits)

Different suit = Bet on lower wins
E.g Rooster #1 w/ 1 wins VS Rooster #2 w/ 4 wins - Bet on Rooster #1
(Rooster #1 has an odd number of wins and #2 has an even number so different suits)

Same number = Back out and interact with the guy at the gate again until it's not the same number

PART 2: The fix

Let's say you're at 250'000 and then all of a sudden it stays there no matter how many times you win or lose. What great work around is required for this? Reopen the game? Reload a save point? Hard reset? Uninstall? Nope! All it takes is a bit of patience.

The way I've done it when you get to the gate is...

1) Interact to get on to the betting menu
2) Let the betting menu text completely load
3) Pick and watch the fight
4) MOST IMPORTANT: When you win, let the earning counter go up to completion THEN exit

Have that bit of patience instead of mashing A or whatever 'interact' is on keyboard just to get through menus quicker and you'll avoid this bug.

In laymans terms... GIVE IT A SECOND, YOU IMPATIENT SODS!

Sorry for the 6 year old necro, but thank you!! Out of all the googling I just did for this with no luck. I than search for old posts on steam and this is like second one that came up. Should of just did that first. Lol

Just to add. If anyone else is going for this. If you lose and exit before it totals. It will glitch again. Reload and it will be ok again.

If you save manually after winning to use that as a restore point just in case you lose next fight. The glitch comes back. Well, for me it does. So if you win a fight, save, gamble again, win or lose it will glitch again and no money is lost or gained. You will have to reload for it to work again. This is quite annoying.

Edit: Just got this but it seems if you save game (overwrite) in same slot after winning it glitches. In order to not have it glitch when saving, just use a different slot. I just got the Gold award for this now. GL!
