And there's a chance that Sleeping Dogs is one of those IPs, we are closer than ever to almost getting a sequel for Sleeping Dogs, due to the fact that they will revive a lot of IPs.

Do we know for SURE that they bought the Sleeping Dogs IP, or is there just a chance that they did? Those are two different things, so we need to know for sure what happened before we start getting our hopes up. Otherwise, we're just counting our chickens before they're hatched.

As far as IPs that weren't part of the deal, all they mentioned was Outriders, Just Cause and Life is Strange, so yes, looks like Sleeping Dogs is now under Embracer.

A sequel would be fantastic but considering they also own Saints Row (which is very similar in terms of genre) and way more popular, I'm not very optimistic

Yeah, they're going all out on saints row. While sleeping dogs is similar in terms of gameplay its vastly different with its more serious and gritty atmosphere. I don't see new sleeping dogs happening but if I had to throw a Hail Mary i'd say they'll test the waters with some spin off aiming for the Chinese audience.

As usual, I think it all has to do with the movie https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6658268/ if it somehow becomes a huge hit of course they'll want to cash in. Though the movie has been delayed so much I wonder if it's even going to happen.

The Movie idea was from when they owned by Square so naturally even the Script is Copyrighted by Square. Now i'm too wonder if they will just let thing happened when the Movie is green lighted with money of The Embracer Group or just cancel and being rewritten with a little *influence* from the Executive of Embracer Group to make it appeal with this gaming generation like Saint Row Reboot.

I also highly doubt the movie is going to happen, even if the production companies make some deal for rights or if they're somehow still valid from before. Likewise I am sceptical about any IP revival.

Wasn't the ip man actor going to play in Sleeping Dogs movie ?

I think he isn't fit to play in that movie anymore since the movie is just getting delayed and delayed.(And he doesn't get younger)

I bet the movie already got canned at this point, i'm not with any expectations for it to come out lol, for me it's already dead, they had their chance to do the movie when they could and now they let it slip.
