Enough Police/Triad XP during full playthrough?
As only few players unlocked the respective achievements and side missions aren't replayable, I'm wondering: Do you earn enough Police/Triad XP during a full (completionist) playthrough to unlock all skills?

You earn like twice as much police/face xp as you need, but triad xp is a little more rare. I'd suggest using outfits that boost it from the beginning. I ended up having to grind a little post-game to get the last triad perk.

Yeah, police/face XP is everywhere, but the game is a bit stingy with Triad XP. As long as you get high Triad scores on most missions, while wearing clothes that give bonus Triad XP, you should be max Triad level or close to by the end.

Okay, thanks for clarifying, guys. I finished "Mini Bus Racket" yesterday and did most side missions in North Point so far. Am I still on track, if I equip the +5% Triad XP set from now on or should I restart?

Mini Bus Racket is an early story mission(30 in total) so it's a bit early to call though I'd say you're probably still on track. My advice, is wear any gear that boosts Face XP gains, and get it high enough(level 8?) to purchase the Mountain Master set(15% bonus Triad XP) from the clothing stores in Central. If need money, just collect lockboxes, or do jobs for Tran.

Ok, I'll do that. Thanky you!
The Zodiac Island Tournament awards a ton of Triad XP.

Thanks for pointing it out. Didn't know that.

Also don't overlook mission replay for boosting your Triad XP on older missions. Going back through the first half of the game once you manage to re-equip with the Mountain Master clothing set will make a big difference, and many of the moves you learn later in the game can boost your triad XP considerably - once you learn Dim Mak, for example, using that instead of regular blocking can really give you a big boost on replaying the early missions. The stun-strike followup is another good one for upping your XP.

I was in a situation where I was regularly batting 2 and a half pips for triad xp, so I had to do a fair number of them to hit level 10.

I finished the main game and DLC today and can absolutely confirm all of your hints. The Mountain Master set is a must and if you do every side mission, the game hands out Police and Face XP en masse. In the last quarter of the game I didn't have to care about loosing Police XP during missions at all.

Nice tip. Guess I will wear an outfit or two.
