Games like this? (Not GTA)

Games with a dark gritting story with crime like this. It doesn't have to have ALL the same qualities, open world, martial arts etc. Just something similar? The closer it is the SD the better ;)

Hm open sandbox games where you play a protagonist leading a double life between crime and the law? Can't honestly think of any - least of all good ones.

Which I wouldn't even consider GTA good anyway.

Maybe Mafia III in a way, but, that's also a bad game.

Mafia III. Unlike others I liked the game a lot. Definitely more dark than Sleeping Dogs and the best sound track ever.

Hm, while it was somewhat accurate to the time period, they could've made the game a lot better with what they probably spent on licensing and royalties.

The song on the title screen should've been in the game though, that really irked me.

yakuza series,not exactly like sleeping dogs but has the martial arts, story driven,somewhat semi open world but no driving .Although its only on playstation consoles,so if you have a ps4 then pick up yakuza 0

True Crime series (closest you can get compared to Sleeping Dogs), The Getaway, Yakuza 1/2, Mafia series, Watch Dogs 1, maybe even old Saints Row games.

Plenty of crime shooters that aren't open-world, as well.

Possibly Watch Dogs 2, for a newer game but really none of the games mentioned here have the hand to hand combat that Sleeping Dogs has. Really wish they would make a second one.

normally i don't reply to posts but lol yakuza and the true crime series aren't overrated in the slightest at all bruh,plenty of gamers are unaware of both series and need to play them

idk bout Yakuza but True Crime is always mentioned when talking about Sleeping Dogs..

Not as good as Sleeping Dogs, but Batman Arkham City has similar combat, crime fighting, and an open world which I rather enjoyed.

I never bothered with True Crime but Yakuza looks AWESOME. Though I think they're only on PS? I'd need to buy a PS3 again. Might get around to that at some point.
