Ahem Jonah Hex Ahem....
When I first saw the image that's what I thought but no sign of any DC logo.... wonder if DC have seen it yet because a court case may be in the future.
Looks good but recommended specs are out of my reach until I upgrade - I'm on win7 32, 4G RAM, Intel Core2 Quad Q8400 and GeForce 9500GT... anyone know if that'll reach minimum??
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, is it not?
Wild West themed games aren't getting much exposure sadly, even if they are considered as sought-after titles. Take Secret Ponchos for example - the game is getting its release on the 29th this month, yet there is little to no exposure of the game. I'm sure that the fans of Spaghetti Westerns and fighting games would be deligthed to play this game, it's just that Steam tends to focus more on triple A titles to showcase and promote instead of these little gems that may one day blow up to become the long-running successful franchises.
And for those who don't know about Secret Ponchos, here's the link to their Steam Store page:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/265750/
EDIT: Also, if you buy a copy of the game before the game is released (29th of September), you get +1 free copy of the game, which you can give to your friend/trade away - 2 Secret Ponchos licences for the price of one.
Depends on the character you are using - for example, Matador is almost purely melee (the only ranged ability being tossing the banderillas at the enemy - toss two in a row and you can insta-execute a guy by pinning him down and giving him coup de grace with your sword, but it is quite difficult). Some characters also have melee option with their secondary ability (Killer's hunting knife, Wolf's pounce with the dagger), some have melee AND ranged option with their weapons (Warmonger).
Anyway, Secret Ponchos is having a lot of style, and the skill cap is non-existant for those that wanna get competitive - a true fighting game set in the Spaghetti Wild West. Also, there will be a single player mode (called the Arcade mode) for training with your selected character and beating Bosses, but that will be rudimentary at first (will evolve if the game is successful enough).

I think that, if enough hype and demand would generate about this character, he might make it into the game much like Yoda/Darth Vader/Ezio Auditore made it into Soul Calibur as guest chars (remember - Secret Ponchos is, after all, a FIGHTING game at its core, just like Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter/Soul Calibut and many others like them, just with a different take on the genre).
