How Long to Beat?
Dear Devs,

How long would it take to beat the campaign mode?

Thanks

I wouldn't mind knowing this, too. I want to know if this is a game I could play in between breaks from Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, and Star Wars: Battlefront. If Hard West is too long, I'll have to wait until January or February to get it.

I would like to know this as well.

This varies wildly between players (really, I never expected such a gap between completion times) but the shortest people who know the game seem to be able to, pretty much, rush through it, is 12-13 hours. That really leaves out a lot of optional content and story, our Lead Programmed took a more methodical approach but without wasting time as he also knows the game well, and ended up with 20 hours.
Considering that the game is also replayable due to choices, optional objectives, Ironman mode etc, it looks like a good deal to us. Hopefully gamers will agree.

A good deal... if you plan to follow with an full-fledged story arc expansion, that is! I would really like to play a campaign where the actual "heavensent" and "hellspawn" characters in disguise wage war across the Wild West - throw in that Grand Inquisitor that you've already created into the equation (and, perhaps, some of his demon-hunting brethren), and you've got yourself a story arc! Also, wouldn't mind seeing some necromancers (or why not voodoo priests? It is Wierd West, after all) and the undead (Warren is technically a revenant, not the undead - his spirit and reasoning are inhabiting the decaying flesh, unlike zombies who are controlled by their summoner).

I have no doubts that Hard West is gonna be a satisfying experience, but it needs to grow into a franchise, spawning sequels and expansions that further explore this terrifying world you've created. Hard West is to us what Deadlands is to the tabletop crowd, and the craving once we compelte the game 100% will intensify tenfold, hence - more content!

From what you just said, if i enjoy the game, then its money well spent indeed. Its awesome when you can replay the game and do things differently , not forced into one choice or style etc.

I'm quite tall. Do you think it would take me more or less time?

So the optional content - is it unlimited? I.e. can I keep extending one playthrough for as long as I want?

I was wondering that as well. Will it take longer or shorter time because I'm tall?
