For the following sentence:
"Note that the enemies knowingly avoid entering your reaction shot range"
In my experience, they do generally avoid your "reaction zone", but will still sometimes run within a single square of you. Although I think this mostly happens when you box/hem them into a room/corner.
HTH!
So if my intent is not to exploit a point blank shot, but just to run by to get to cover on the flanking side for example.
Also, I spent efforts to purposefully box myself in to such ways they had to enter a close area to me, like 1 over from the door of a house, so the only way to see me was to actually walk in the door way, trying to use this mechanic as an advantage when I had 1 guy left with 1 hp.
So here is the main issue I see here.
You made it 100% always to pre block possible exploiting, to the point it also over rides common non exploit situations. But yet you have quite a few guns that have a range of this reaction range, making those guns useless, cause there stats are not worth taking a reaction hit to use at optimal range.
I love this game, and so far am on the gravedigger senario, and so far, have seen this is the only thing that really comes off as half fast or sloppy.
