Can I reset the game's campaigns to original settings?
I have not played the game for a while and want to start it over. Is there a way to delete data files so I can start the game and its campaigns as they were when I first downloaded the game? I tried deleting and reinstalling, but I am still at the point where I left off last year.

Hi,

This might be happening due to Steam Cloud.
Please follow these steps and let us know if it worked out : )

1) Start Steam.
2) Disable Steam Cloud.
3) Delete all files in Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID.
4) Start the game to create fresh (and thus different) new files.
5) Exit the game and Steam.
6) Delete remotecache.vdf in Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID.
7) Start Steam.
8) Enable Steam Cloud and "Sync conflict" should appear in your game status.

Best regards,
Puszczyk

Thank you for your fast reply. I forgot to mention I am using a Mac and I do not see the Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID files that you refer to. I think this is because I am using OS X. Any other advice would be appreciated.

Sure, the OS X path looks like this:

~\Library\Application Support\Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID

Thanks a bunch CFG! Found this too, in case it helps any other Mac user trying to reset Hard West:

The basics are in the HardWest folder in My Documents. So:
1. Launch Steam
2. Disable Steam Cloud for Hard West (right click in library > properties > updates tab > uncheck steam cloud at the bottom
3. Remove the HardWest folder in My Documents
4. Run the game, start a new game.

Sure : )
And thanks for adding your own steps, a helpful contribution is always welcome!
