The Stash saves items for all characters on that save file. You can transfer to the next character if you wish to save a piece of gear or potion.
I'm not sure what their plans are for on xp potions etc. I'm currently grinding levels on new characters for achievements and it takes about 30mins or so to get a character to max lvl of 20 using gear earned from previous runs.
Level cap on Items is 18 currently for end game gear and there is a rarity past legendary. 2 tiers above rare.. Enemies in later areas do not scale to your level. But if you have good gear you can maybe hold your own.
I've only seen one drop item that is restricted to area/levels so far. rarity seems like anything can drop anywhere. Chests seems to have better chances at rares+
Since it's a rougelite, at this point it doesn't make sense to raise the level cap, I'm sure you'd have to rebalancing skills or opponents. Maybe if the developer adds a new area to the game. XP potion is also unnecessary as you can reach lvl20 in 1 hour.
Here is a early screenshot from my 3rd run:

So if you finished the game 10 times it could add 100% hp and damage to enemies? im not 100% sure what finishing the game added to a future playthrough but im sure it was along the lines of making enemies tougher on a new playthrough.
Yes, at this point you just have to repeat the game as long as you can. My first boss kill was around 100 atk dps and around 80 magic dmg. So with the build I linked I assume I can kill the boss 8-10 times easily (depends on the defense stats). After that it's just skill and numbers for a while. If you get stuck, start a new save. I mean in this state of the game. Looking forward to more content, if there is any. If not, that's it for the game. But ~20 hours for $4 is/was perfectly fine.
I believe the level cap hinders this quite a bit. Even though enemies get stronger, generations should have a greater importance so that we become stronger as well. Perhaps for every generation that reaches level 20, the next one could gain +1 to the level cap.
This way, when trying to kill the boss and failing, the next generation should be more capable of defeating it—or maybe the one after that... who knows?
I don't know. I don't think every game should have hundreds of hours of play time. You play it for ~20 hours and then move on, like most single player games. Of course the developer has said he plans to add more content, there will be some. Anyway, it's just a hobby project, so it is what it is.
It'd be nice if I didn't just keep getting helmet/armor/2hand weapon/boots ONLY. Never seen a back piece, 1 handed weapon, wand, bow....
Yes. Every time If you kill the boss, your next run will be 10% harder. So it becomes harder every run. Currently this is the game loop. Also, you can upgrade your skills premanently
after every bosskill.
