Unable to JOIN Online games.
This has been happening for a while, on and off. Mostly, I am unable to join rooms online. While it does work Sometimes, most of the time pressing the Join -> Online does nothing for me.

All it shows me is 'Waiting for primary IP Source' then the pop up disappears and nothing on my screen changes. Here is a Screenshot [imgur.com]

This ONLY happens with attempts to JOIN Online games. I have no issues creating a room or entering LAN, but my friends and I don't play on LAN and it is honestly kind of a pain when I basically have to host EVERY SINGLE GAME.

Oh dang weird! This one is actually pretty surprising to me because hosting online and joining online require the same variable to return true, and that variable is evaluated on exactly the same conditions between the two. Does it take a while to return anything from icanhazip(dot com) for you if you try it in a browser? We set it up so that if that website fails to get your public IP, it will fall back to checking with our Amazon server.

I have the same problem and I used the website and my ip came up imediatly. What can I do to fix it, is there a fix?

I just barely got a log from someone who had run into the "Waiting for Primary IP Source" problem and there was actually a null reference exception (important error) thrown when trying to gather up all the different network interfaces which could be used. Would you guys be able to send me a log file so that I can confirm whether or not this is the same bug?

To send a log file,
1. Open the game and go to the Play Menu. Try to join online games for a little while 30 seconds is plenty.
2. ALT + F4 to force quit the game. If the game restarts, the log file will be wiped clean and rewritten.
3. Go to your Steam library and right click on our game. Click "Properties".
4. Go to the "Local Files" tab and browse the folder where Steam installed our game.
5. Go into the "WeNeedToGoDeeper_Data" folder and find "output_log.txt"
6. Send output_log.txt over to interactivedeli@gmail.com

Thanks so much for putting up with this! I really hope we can figure this out and get a fix to you soon!

My apologies for the late reply. I have done as you have requested and emailed the outpu_log.txt file to the aforementioned email address.

I have also attempted to access icanhazip(.com) and the response was immediate. This is seriously puzzling me and I'm wondering if the issue would happen to be my computer rather than the game itself

The issue in your log file and one other I have read is that there is an error trying to get the address of one of your network interfaces (like your ethernet port, wifi adapter, VPN adapter, etc. Can't tell which since it returns "null"). I asked the other person this, but do you have any odd network interfaces when looking in adapter settings in the network and sharing center? Or any network drivers out of date?

Not that I know of... I have been playing other games like CS:GO, FF14 just fine. My motherboard is a Maximus Ranger VII of the LGA1150 Haswell socket. My latest drivers were last uploaded in 2015/2016, could that be the issue?

It's not super hard to test whether that was the problem. In your "Device Manager" settings in Windows, just right-click your network adpater and find an option to update the drivers. If that was the problem, sweet! Easy fix! If not, we've still got more fixin' to do on our end. Either way thanks a ton for hanging in there with us on this! You have one of the three cases we know of and it's a really tricky bug!

Hey there, I did as you had instructed, and the result was that I am currently using the latest version of the driver, here are the screenshots, but I run my computer interface in Japanese so you might not understand it
