Lost Cloud Save? Official Troubleshooting

Despite our best efforts to preserve and backup your save data locally as safely as we can, cloud saving issues have been known to pop up from time to time, so if this happens to you, here are our recommendations:

1. If you have recently switched machines, and still have access to your old machine, try running the game on your old machine to see if the steam cloud pop-up for uploading that machines' save comes up. If it does, make sure you choose the option to upload that machines' data. When you play again on your new machine, it may bring up a conflict, and you can choose to use the data stored in the cloud.

2. If such options do not show up or you do not have access to your machine, try resetting steam to see if that helps the cloud restore the saves the next time you open.

3. If all else fails, and the cloud fails to restore your old data or else overwrites your old save for good, we are now hosting a free save generation tool that you can use to restore some of your progress, courtesy of community mod NateKomodo!
