They have mentioned split screen will be difficult due to the nature of the game as players would be in all different places, but it could work if players were willing to play with half a screen and be able to choose horizontal or vertical split

I would think that if split screen is still an option, it probably would not be on our list until the game is officially released. It would be super cool to have this implemented though, along with being on game consoles!

In regards to console I remember it being mentioned, and they were testing controller support but I think had issues with aiming with guns (I think like the flintlock and not the sub's guns, could be wrong though), but this was a long time ago, and they also spoke about porting to console, but I don't know much about the progress of that

YAY for necroing!! I'm also on the boat for a local coop mode, even without console ports. It would be awesome!!!
