Is this an every time kind of thing or intermittent? I have noticed that the frequency of this has gone up from other users as well, and I've witnessed it myself. We write two new pieces of data to the Steam lobby but for some reason they seem to take foreeeeever to write, and Steam frequently spits them back out at us incorrect! We have to rewrite it until Steam gives it back to us in the way it's supposed to be. I'm still poring over the lobby data writing code to see anywhere that we may be introducing disagreements that could cause permanent rewriting.

When this happens, we alt f4 and try again. We have a 1 in 4 success rate.

It happens to me as well. I was making my lobby a 2 word name and it kept failing so I tried putting the 2 words together without a space and I was able to get into the lobby. I don't know if this helps as this was my 4th attempt at it.

same with me, i got this game for me and my girlfriend and neither of us can make a server or even join it, and it still says "writing host data to steam lobby" and then just throws us out after a while, i do hope this will get fixed otherwise i can't play with my girl like i wanted too, it's the reason i got the game for me and her so we could play together.
