How do you move forward?

If you mean walking WASD so D to move right. If you mean driving it is also WASD but the y is inverted so W will drive deeper/down. On the Menu screen under How To there is the tutorial.

Move forward? uh use WASD for controls. :L

If you mean the submarine, turn on the engines in the power room, and get to the drivers seat

The engines in the power room is the symbol of an engine or fan looking thing. Press E and then press W to add power and S to take power away. You only have 4 power total between the 4 power consoles so you may not want 3 power in engines but people speed running do.
