Dropping items?

One thing to add is that the phonograph will still play music when dropped. (will make it not a waste of a slot.)

I'd rather see a stand for the phonograph in the captains room to keep him calm.

Dropping items would have its problems, people could bring all kinds of stuff on the sub.

not if items despawn after 5 minutes. (the exception is the phonograph.)

Make a timer like how the "Holler" button makes a exclamation mark. It would point to where the dropped item is, and how long you have till is dissapears

I'd hate to drop something accidently though and someone steals it or you don't notice

What if the stand was the only way to drop and exchange items? Would you be happy with that?

I feel like that would cause less potential problems and there wouldn't need to be a time limit.

Maybe there could be 2 stands on the sub.

The stand idea could open more strategies, you could store a pump or weapon.

Giving the ability to swap easily for caves or on the sub.

You could store a weapon, but be equipped with wrench and pump.
You pop into the cave and swap for the weapon.
Swap back to pump when on sub.

You could also just store the phonograph if you wanted.
