What is Duct tape used for? Missing Ending?

I think i beat every ending in this game but i can't find out what Duct tape is used for. Do anyone know?

Duct tape is used in the attic on the room past the hole in the floor

Apply the duct tape to the pipe in the attic room to prevent the spider from escaping and killing you once you open the door in the attic.

Hi, Thank you for you're time and help too, mrspitt. Here is you're award also for helping me out with small task with extra information that was very helpful knowing what it does to after. I was so overthinking this item lol..
