Warning for employee stocking
Just a small warning its is not game breaking but is a tad annoying.

My employee that is stocking does not just restock shelves that contained items. They will stock shelves with random stuff on the empty spots. :steamfacepalm:

For example I had a shelf just for the figurines and wondered why there was dice so I had an empty box laying around boxed it up and put it back on a warehouse rack and went back and caught them stocking it with booster packs this time.

So until it gets fixed or all your shelves are designated with product where you want them I would not assign an employee to stocking the shelves unless you want a shelf menagerie. Unless that's like your thing of a chaotic mess.

I feel the same way.
I would like to see a ban on replenishing empty shelves.

Place an item you dont usually keep stocked on the shelf to give it a tag and then remove the item from it. If there's a tag on the shelf they wont place a different item on it. For me I use the collector book. I keep 1 shelf stocked with it and never buy extras until the shelf is empty. Then I mark every shelf I don't want randomly stocked with that book.

I never thought about doing that before just thought it was odd that it was happening only to non tagged spots. I'll have to give this a try the next time I jump on to play. At least it'll keep the random stocking at bay until a small hotfix comes out.

For this, I find that the bulk boxes form the workbench work really well. You have complete control over your stock levels of these.

They fixed stockers placing items on empty shelves first instead of marked shelves, however they didnt stop them from stocking empty shelves after the marked shelf is full.

just use a bulk box to label empty shelves you want to use later, problem solved. you only need one bulk box priced super high so it wont sell.

I've been placing bulk boxes on empty spots so the NPC's wont use them. I got annoyed with it when I got a stocker and cashier and had the free time to actually care about how my shop looked
